I was drunkenly watching History Channel's "Star Trek: Beyond the Frontier" last night and reminiscing on the new Star Trek movie which I saw yestersay with pollitt. Then I passed out and slept until 10. >.>

Anywho, before I cut for spoilers I just have to say that I, who was going in as a skeptic, totally enjoyed the movie. So go see it even if you only have a general knowledge of Star Trek, I'm pretty sure you'll still get it.

pollitt and I went to see Wolverine today and after much thought I have to say that I pretty much liked it. It wasn't great, that's for sure, but it wasn't awful. And I'll admit my shallowness and state that Hugh Jackman's very looooooooong, lean legs is a big factor in me liking the movie. ;) Gambit was good, but I have an issue with his lack of a real Cajun accent. Just one "mon ami" and I would've been happy. Overall I'm upset with some of the liberties they took with the characters, etc, but it was fun to watch. And did I mention Hugh Jackman and those jeans of his? *purr*

Tomorrow I get to go see the Harry Potter exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. \o/

I feel like this whole flu thing is being blown out of proportion by the media and the alarmist man on the street who has a closet full of those self-made Terrorism Emergency Kits chock-full of duct tape and plastic sheeting. At the same time I wonder if this is the scene where Larry Underwood just found out his single is hot on the charts while unknowingly a very sick man crashes his car into a gas station in front of Stu Redman in East Texas. *shrug* We'll see, I guess.

Last night I was at the Flight of the Conchords concert. A friend scored last minute tickets and lucked out w/ 5th row seats! Jemaine's sugar lumps were practically in our faces. ;D I left there with my cheeks hurting so much from all the laughing. Brilliant! Oh, and freaking John Wesley Harding showed up to play a song. <3<3<3<3<3<3

I'm waiting for that 3rd thing to happen. You know how they say things come in threes? Well, I've had 2 things happen to me this weekend that were just so goddamn special that I had to share. Thing 1 - I have strep throat. Thing 2 - I left the sunroof on my car open all day/night and it rained. *headdeskheaddeskheaddesk* So, apparently I'm not used to nice weather and the regular routine of closing the sunroof. Stupid. I'm just glad no one stole anything, considering I left my freaking iPod sitting there between the seats. I'm surprised it still seems to work, so that's something. The strep? I can't fucking believe it. I'm not 12! People in their 30s don't get strep throat! Do they?! Whatever. It just plain sucks.
